'Gun Law 2025: Rights, Risks, AI, and the Fight Ahead,' presented by the American Council of Second Amendment Lawyers, is our seventh annual CLE, designed to give attorneys a forward-looking, practical understanding of the rapidly evolving legal landscape surrounding firearms in the United States.

This year’s program features six in-depth sessions covering cutting-edge issues in gun law, including firearm rights restoration, the latest Second Amendment updates, ethical considerations for using AI as a defense lawyer, and separating conspiracy from reality in the 2A world. Additional segments will explore Federal Firearms License (FFL) compliance, strategies used to undermine the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), and the landmark Mexico v. Smith & Wesson litigation.

The goal of the program is to equip legal professionals with both the doctrinal knowledge and tactical tools necessary to succeed in firearms-related cases. Participants will gain insights into recent court decisions, compliance pitfalls, and strategic advocacy approaches—while also engaging in discussions about emerging technologies, evolving threats to 2A protections, and the interplay between state and federal regulations. Through case studies, ethics analysis, and open Q&A, attendees will leave prepared to better defend constitutional rights and navigate the complex challenges facing firearms law in 2025 and beyond.
